The punk-electronica, girl duo Human Toys, fuse S&M mantras with cyborg synths that move beyond the sexy-scariness of Peaches’ hairy armpits. On top of that, these gals come from the sexiest city on the planet: Paris. Emma Amaretto and Mademoiselle Poupee describe the angry theatrics of their stage shows as “tongue-and-cheek.” In the cover of Tom Waits’ “Goin’ Out West,” they shriek through each verse with razorblade edge.
