For the first time in 25 years, the cult, off-Broadway sci-fi comedy Starstruck, will be presented as an audio theatre-style live reading at the Henry Miller Library. The idiosyncratic story features a rebel nun, an empathic fish-woman and a reprogrammed pleasure droid, who run into a ship populated by a group of galactic evildoers. Starstruck creator Elaine Lee will be in attendance and proceeds from this performance will benefit comics legend Gene Colan, who was diagnosed with liver failure a year ago. [AJ]
