The Emmy-nominated, Peabody Award-winning Mystery Science Theater 3000 was a giddy and guilty late-night staple for college students and stoners alike for 11 seasons. Space prisoners Joel (creator Micheal J. Nelson) and robots Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot, stuck with nothing to do, screened bad movies and riddled them with jokes all throughout--jokes that came fast, cheeky and LMAO funny. A feature film followed, but this performance is live (tape delayed), beamed to 430 movie screens, with Ed Wood Jr.'s infamous Plan 9 from Outer Space, considered the worst film ever, as target. There's also a segment by Tekzilla and Qore hostess Veronica Belmont, a never-before-seen short and musical guest Jonathan Coulton. One day, a thousand laughs. [WR]
