Traditional photographers rejoice! There's no better cure for the digital age's impersonal photographic techniques than this hands-on workshop at the Monterey Peninsula College Photography Lab that are straight out of the 19th century. The Cyanotype uses ultraviolet contact paper to create a rich, blue print, while the Lumen is a photogram of live botanicals on black and white photographic paper. Bring enlarged negatives, objects or botanical. Both processes can be done without a fully equipped dark room. No experience necessary.
9am-5pm. Monterey Peninsula College, 980 Fremont St., Monterey. $125/CPA member; $150/non-member. 625-5181, 646-4000. http://www.photography.org.
