Folk Yeah! The Six Organs of Admittance (Brian Chasny) brings his psychedelic grooves to the Big Sur Concert Series. In the same vein as Devendra Banhart and Animal Collective, Chasny’s blend of acoustic sounds and electric sounds won him praise from Mojo and Wire magazines. The freak-folk artist plays songs from his new minimalist/surrealist album “Shelter from the Ash”, a work that reflects on such lofty themes as love, war, and the apocalypse. Seattle black metal band Master Musicians of Bukake opens the show with their mystical noise. [MS]
