Though Big American Family has only been a band for about a year (all the members have been involved in other area bands throughout the years), they’ve already had the opportunity to open for the Doobie Brothers. The band–consisting of five real family members¬–is currently in the midst of recording their debut full-length album in Santa Cruz. “Pin Drop,” the first single from their upcoming album, is a Talking Heads, Blondie and No Doubt sandwich.
