Becom excels at snaring the aliveness of color in his photographs of exotic places, especially from his extensive travels through locales in Mexico like Veracruz, Chiapas and Yucatan, and Honduras and Ecuador. For this show at the legendary Weston Gallery, his rich, saturated photographs of India get center stage, as will Becom at the artist's reception Friday, Dec. 5. The work is up through Jan. 10, 2010.
