John Farmanesh-Bocca, from Not Man Apart Physical Theatre Ensemble, does an original, and very much physical, take on the holiday-tested and reliably charming story--immortalized by Frank Capra and Jimmy Stewart--about a young man named George Bailey who longs to satisfy his wanderlust for world travel and leave his hometown...well, you know the story. But if you haven't seen Farmanesh-Bocca tackle it, doing all the characters himself, in a feverish but controlled pitched and snap-quick voice impressions, then you owe yourself this one-man spectacle of kinetic energy. For a special treat, Farmanesh-Bocca performs two specials on Christmas Day and follows it up the next day with another performance. [WR]
