The electro-psych band from Santa Cruz plays a tripped out, instrumental cover of Radiohead’s “Videotape” that sounds like it was concocted in Timothy Leary’s basement. But then again, most of the quartet’s computer-inspired instrumentals would be the perfect ambiance for an excursion on LSD. Slap Bracelet¬–a new wave band originally from Seattle–call their music “electrock.” Their tune, “Sophisticated Lady” is reminiscent of the heavy synth bands of the 1980s like Flock of Seagulls.
