The folks at the non-profit mecca of captive sea life have made it real easy for locals to get up close and personal with the colorful sea slugs, sardines, sea birds, manta and tuna. Since January, they waived the fee on the 20th of each month for locals with ID and proof of residency. And now, a whole week of the same, from Dec. 5-13 (that's actually nine days), with local conservation and environmental groups assembling on the last day, Sunday, to impart the latest info and organize special activities. It's an open house exclusive to locals. [WR]
