The Forest Theater Guild emerges from the trees to present a day of entertainment to benefit the Guild’s youth outreach programs. Starting the day is Disney’s animated family comedy Toy Story 2. Then a series of live performances begin, including the dancers of SpectorDance who perform a piece by choreographer Fran Spector Atkins entitled “Ocean, Bird, Sky,” based on the poem by Robinson Jeffers; singer Susana McGuire performs jazz standards; and students from Stevenson Middle School read from Jeffers, Steinbeck, and their own original poetry. As if that weren't enough, a second film, Cannery Row starring Debra Winger and Nick Nolte, will be screened, and the fairy tale comedy romance The Princess Bride will finish the evening. [JF]
