Monterey County High School Poetry Awards at Carl Cherry Center

The county's young are encouraged to channel inspiration into verse. Winning entrants receive certificates of merit, cash, books of poetry, and entry into an anthology of the work of 35 students, published by the Carl Cherry Center. Submissions can be in English, Spanish or both. Authors must be presently enrolled in a Monterey County high school. No poem may be more than 40 lines and must be typed. Deadline for submission is March 15 and should be postmarked and mailed to the Cherry Center for the Arts, P.O. Box 863, Carmel, CA 93921.
