Every now and then you've got to step out of the Monday-through-Friday rut and just mix it up on a school night. Play a little hooky over wines by Blazer Wilkinson, provocative photos by Angela Strassheim, tasty snacky things by Pacific Coast Catering, and an arty-after-party crowd, in the "soaring" architecture of La Mirada. It feels indulgent, like there should be a guest list. [WR]
