The English concert promoters All Tomorrow's Parties have produced some of the most interesting music events of the last few years. They have gotten pop culture figures including The Simpsons' creator Matt Groening to organize music festivals and have prodded groundbreaking bands like Public Enemy to replay their masterpieces (It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back) in their entirety in front of ecstatic audiences. The organization's latest effort is an English concert this August with Devo, Spiritualized and Grails headlining. Before Grails performs on that impressive bill, the Portland based instrumental rock unit will play little old Fernwood with Zak Riles and James Blackshaw, a London based 12-string acoustic guitar player who has been compared to John Fahey and Leo Kottke.
