Everyone's got 'em. You've got 'em, we've got 'em--kids, Bulgarians, even Blagovich has a few. Oscar predictions. Will The Wrestler pin Milk to the mat or will the Brad Pitt/David Fincher duo smack them both upside the head with a folding chair? Will Heath Ledger get crowned the king of supporting actors or will Philip Seymour Hoffman play him the joker? Will a darkened Anne Hathaway steal the spotlight from will Meryl Streep or will Melissa Leo (?) from Frozen River freeze them both out? And will Slumdog Millionaire's improbable winning streak of a story climax on the biggest movie stage in the world or will Frost/Nixon put that dream on ice? (Yeah, right, and Roman Polansky will present the Best Picture Oscar, too). I'll be debating why The Dark Knight isn't up for Best Picture with Vicky and Christina while Adam mixes up the Roman Cokes. [WR]
