“We should be inspired by people…” said Rachel Corrie, a young woman who was killed by an Israel Defense Forces bulldozer when she was protesting the demolition of Palestinian homes and orchards in the Gaza Strip. My name is Rachel Corrie is her passionate story, told through a dramatic reading by April Bennett (Rachel), Nabil Ghachem (Rachel’s mother), Suzanne Schrag (Israeli soldier) and Brett Scheinfeld (International Solidarity worker). The production, based on Rachel's diary and e-mails, gets renewed vigor in light of recent events.
2pm and 8pm. Peace Resource Center, 1364 Fremont Blvd. , Seaside. $15-$20/suggested donation. 373-1061.
