The collector of early California art--and owner of Trotter Galleries of Carmel and Pacific Grove--gives a talk by way of the Friends of Monterey Museum of Art on the intrinsic value of art, the difference between buying and collecting and the impact of the present economic downturn on the art market. The Friends of MMA gathers an art-minded community for bimonthly events, fundraisers and educational programs and is currently seeking new members.
