After four years he worked at an English-language radio station and in Hong Kong produced thousands of programs. Then he went literary by translating Buddhist poems and spiritual verses. Friday he tells of his adventure traveling the entire length of China's Yellow River (the first Westerner to do so) in a slide presentation at the Carmel Art Association. Then, on Saturday, he conducts a workshop at Carl Cherry Center on three classic Buddhist texts. [WR]
