Everybody loves the new seahorses. Far fewer folks like shoving aside the obnoxious 8-year-old ingrate to get the close-up they rightfully deserve. Fortunately there are evenings like these, where the MBAQ's hours stretch past tourist endurance levels, opening the old cannery expanses to a little more relaxed viewing. This weekend summer tradition (through Sept. 6) also brings wine and jazz to bear, and the good foodsmiths at Portola Restaurant stay open until 8pm on Saturdays. [MCA]
