Layne Littlepage follows in the footsteps of Judy Garland, Marlene Dietrich and Fred Astaire, singing the works of Cole Porter in “Cole Porter Revisited: What a Swell Party it Was!” Her timeless soprano is as evocative and witty as the songs she sings—from classics like “Night and Day” and “Miss Otis Regrets” to lesser-known Porter delights. Against the backdrop of Bob Phillips on piano and with musical direction from Barney Hulse and Gary Carver, Littlepage transports the audience to an era of sophistication, prohibition and romance. Show runs until July 26. [MC]
