The opening night reception for the ambitious Carmel Bach Festival invited guests to sip on sparkling wine-apertifs and sup on fruit, cheese and savory bites before taking their places in the majestic concert hall for an oratorio of Haydn's The Creation, conducted by Bruno Weil. The performance is repeated July 24 and 31.
