As part of the Salinas Stories project, this film screening reconvenes major players in the struggle for farmworker rights, who reminisce on the subject of the UFW, labor struggles and Cesar Chavez--all orbiting around the world premiere of the documentary Vinegar in the Valley, about the conflict of workers versus owners in the center of our Salad Bowl. Speakers include the L.A. Times reporter who covered the tempetuous story, Miriam Pawel, and the Chapman College filmmakers. But key documentary interviews with Bill Monning, Dolores Huerta, who co-founded UFW, and others unlock much of that significant history. [WR]
