Assemblyman Bill Monnings hosts artist, writer and teacher Erin Gafill as Monterey's Featured Artist at his digs in Oldtown Monterey. This public soiree mixes the civic with the artistic in honor of the co-founder of the Big Sur Artist Initiative and the first American artist-in-residence at the Hamada International Children's Art Museum in Hamada, Japan. Ms. Gafill new book, Drinking from the Cold Spring: Reflections of and Artist in Big Sur, will be on hand. Must RSVP.
