Last year the Forest Theater Guild put on this popular outdoor movie screening event every Wednesday for the summer. This year, in case Wednesday doesn't work for you, they screen a different movie nearly every day until late July (barring the live performances of Luiz Valdez's Bandido). Folks are invited to buy snacks and drinks at their concessions stand to munch and sip while watching flicks. Your choices for June 4-7, dubbed "Super Heroes Week," respectively: Transformers, Neverending Story, The Wiz, Goonies. "Locals Celebrity Week" is June 16-18 with Calamity Jane, Of Mice and Men, Caddyshack. "Clint Eastwood Week," June 23-28: Unforgiven, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Bronco Billy (a classic, might I add), Firefox, Gran Torino, The Bridges of Madison County. "Carmel Week" is visited by The Legend of Zorro on June 30, The Wedding Singer (don't get the "Carmel" connection there) July 1. "Peter Sellers Week," July 5, 7-10, and 12 encompasses The Pink Panther, Dr. Strangelove, The Party, Dr. Doolittle, The Pink Panther Strikes Again and a Shot in the Dark. July 11 belongs to a Bohemmian Nights Fundraiser. "James Bond Week," July 14-17 and 19: Goldfinger, The Man with the Golden Gun, Thunderball, Diamonds Are Forever and A View to a Kill. [WR]
