Sacramento-born comedian Tom McClain–known as “everybody’s favorite drinking buddy”–wears a football jersey and a backwards baseball cap when he performs stand-up. His get-up and especially his comedy give him that perfect “drinking buddy” persona: “The one cool thing about American Idol is when someone gets voted off they have to sing one last song. Imagine if you got fired from a job and had to go work one last day. I’ve been fired from a lot of jobs and they never let me come back and mess things up for one more day.” [AJ]
