From great American playwright Arthur Miller comes a sweeping tale—partly based on Studs Terkel’s book Hard Time—of the American Dream ravaged by the Great Depression. It tells its timely stories of struggle through vignettes and period songs, connected by a narrator (played by Jeffrey T. Heyer), and centered on a young writer (Jacob Estrada) desperately searching for his place in a poverty-stricken America, where he meets 52 characters who deal with the widespread misfortune in their own unique ways.
