Since 1976, the Banff International Film Festival has showcased short features and documentaries on mountain sports and the environment. Tonight, seven of the best films from the festival's last outing travel to CSUMB including the skiing and snowboarding flick The Fine Line and Red Gold, which is about a proposed mine that would danger a sockeye salmon run. Sponsored by REI, the film festival's proceeds benefit the Return of the Natives education project. (See story.) [ST]
