This public television series focuses on Northern California science and environmental stories. Their first show of the new season includes a segment with a local component: the animal chefs at the Monterey Bay Aquarium who concoct the food for the captive creatures--it's run alongside a story about next generation airships. It airs 7:30pm March 17, 1:30am March 18, 2pm March 20. The Bay Area gets the bulk of attention, but the various topics like sudden oak death (7:30pm March 24, 1:30am March 25, 2pm March 27), the physics of baseball (7:30pm March 31, 1:30am April 1, 2pm April 3), and global warming studies on raindrops (7:30pm April 7, 1:30am April 8, 2pm April 10) apply elsewhere. It's programming like this that redeems television. See website for more details.
