Moon Cadillac is a true electronica party band with a tinge of European new wave. They have the high-tech, synth-sound of the recent indie successes, MGMT. But sometimes they mix it up: The tune Robot disco SEX is a combination of Downward Spiral-era Nine Inch Nails and Midnite Vultures-era Beck. Psychedelic hard rockers Candyflip have droning Danzig vocals on top of heavy organ chops. The Salinas-based band will open. There will also be DJ sets by Shines Like Gold. [AJ]
