It's time to shine for the youth of the 831, as radio station Jammin' 97.9 and the City of Salinas present The Bash, a day-long youth festival designed to celebrate what's good about life on the Central Coast. Attractions include live music on three stages, a job fair, a student talent showcase, film festival, skate demos and music workshops. Radio personality Big Boy and his crew are around all day to discuss teen issues. If that's not enough, the event is headlined by rap-artist Baby Bash, whose recent work with stars like T-Pain and Akon is only the tip of the iceberg, as the singer/songwriter brings his experienced beats to Salinas for a high-energy show. Tickets for the Baby Bash concert are free and are available at selected locations. (see website) [BP]
