Local boys sometimes make good. Quiet tjazz guitarist Storm Nilson, influenced by the likes of Bill Frisell and Charlie Haden grew up on expedition ships in Alaska, where his background became the subject of several documentaries, and Carmel Valley. Nilson, who's been picking since he was eight years old, will be making a return to the scene of the crime with tunes including his own compositions "Montreal'' and :Yasha's Tune'' and Frisell's "Porch Swing.''
