Alisa Fineman and Kimball Hurd’s performance at Henry Miller is entitled “To Kindness.” It’s a celebration of Big Sur and re-growth after all the suffering that was endured through the devastating fires. The duo’s airy harmonies and expressive lyrics are a cornerstone of the Monterey folk scene. Fineman’s performances often yield a spiritual sensibility pulled from the many years she has been a cantor soloist at Congregation Beth Israel in Carmel Valley. Fineman and Hurd’s performance will be accompanied by Don Usner's Big Sur photographs projected on the big screen. [AJ]
