After a successful run in May, Teatro brings back this dramatic comedy of generational angst. Written and directed by Luis Valdez's son Kinan, under the aegis of the new Teatro Lab, this musical cabaret promises magic, myth, politics and mayhem in the form of Sam Burguesa, a Chicano slacker who loses his home, money and mind. This production signals the new generation at Teatro Campesino, who speak clearly to today's young people. However, Teatro speaks to anyone who needs to laugh in these trying times. To lighten the load, Teatro is charging less on Thursday and allowing you to pay what you can Friday and Saturday ($10 is suggested).
8pm Thu-Sat. El Teatro Campesino, 705 4th St., San Juan Bautista. $5/Thu; $10/Fri-Sat suggested donation. 623-2444. http:///www.elteatrocampesino.com.
