Jeffrey Becom and Richard Perry exhibit "In the Footsteps of Father Junipero Serra, 1750-1758: The Five Folk-Baroque Mission Churches of Mexico’s Sierra Gorda," a collection of photographs and pen and ink drawings depicting the Serra’s early, elaborate mission churches founded in Central Mexico’s state of Queretaro 20 years prior to California’s. Those missions, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, were native-designed progenitors of California’s missions. This significant exhibition runs through March 21, 2010.
