In the Footsteps of Father Junipero Serra Exhibition at Carmel Mission

Jeffrey Becom and Richard Perry exhibit "In the Footsteps of Father Junipero Serra, 1750-1758: The Five Folk-Baroque Mission Churches of Mexico’s Sierra Gorda," a collection of photographs and pen and ink drawings depicting the Serra’s early, elaborate mission churches founded in Central Mexico’s state of Queretaro 20 years prior to California’s.
