If you were anywhere near Monterey County on Oct. 17, 1989, you probably remember the moment the Loma Prieta Earthquake—epicentered in the Bay Area—struck. The Steinbeck Center revisits that time in an exhibition that expands on the ongoing Salinas Stories program in photos and personal recollections. It runs through Oct. 17, the occasion of the 20th anniversary.
