Even though we are now officially immersed in the fall season, the four spunky ladies of the girl group meet New Wave band The Hot Toddies will bring summer heat to their show at Jose's. Their "The Surf Song" waxes about South swells, beach bonfires and cold Pacifico beers over impressive vocals, kitschy keyboard and cool surf guitar. The stop is part of their California Dreamin' Tour, which includes a set by Foxes!, an English band that recalls a more playful Yo La Tengo. (See story.) [ST]
