Jumpstart’s “Read for the Record” is a campaign that aims to break the world record for the largest shared reading experience ever in order to combat illiteracy. Join the Monterey Public Library and be part of the action as they head across the street to host their Caterpillar’s Storytime Picnic on the Colton Hall Lawn. The picnic welcomes all ages to a reading of Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
