Founded in 1996, the Independent Photographers collective, who produced the book Steinbeck Country, Revisited, includes a range of nationally known and local photographers who work in film and digital mediums, producing images of landscapes, abstracts and photocollage. This show hones in on minute details while keeping sight of the bigger picture of Monterey's famed photography tradition. The opening reception is Oct. 9. [WR]
