History Fest in Monterey

A host of organizations, including Monterey History and Art and the Rotary Club, stage this four-day celebration of Monterey history. It starts Thursday at Monterey Maritime and History Museum with "An Evening with the Three Historians" and a nighttime walk; picks up Friday at the Monterey Library's California History Room, MMHM and the New York Legion's Mexican War re-enactment; goes full bore on Saturday with Living History Day at Custom House Plaza, Family Squid Day at MMHM, and a rare van tour of the restricted Upper Presidio; and closes Sunday with re-enactments of the Constitutional Convention,Civil War and Mexican-American War re-enactments at Colton Hall.
