Santa Cruz artist Margaret Rinkovsky brings her talent and eclectic style to the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts for the opening of her new exhibit. Her collection explores the mechanisms of perception and memory, the human thought process, and the workings of human nature using dense layers of oil paint that reflect and absorb light. Her pieces have been featured in the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History and the De Saisser Museum in Santa Clara. It runs until Dec. 18. [AS]
