Last time they played Jose's, this four-piece band unleased fast, loud, nimble waves of surf-punk-monster music that could have peeled the paint off the walls. The crowd ate up the melodic, expressive instrumental attack by the Georgia band who obsess on Japanese culture like Mothra, for which they name one song. Abstract Artimus from Brooklyn and Salinas psychedelic prog rockers Candyflip get the fire going. The spark is started by the debut of opener Familiar Spheres. [WR]
