With a sound similar to the Strokes, Dos Hermanos is equal parts country, indie rock and rockabilly. The real-life brothers thump away on their multi-lingual tracks, puffing a forlorn harmonica here and there and every so often crooning through the synthetic sound of a mini-megaphone. Their songs are tongue in cheek twists on the themes of love and loss, at least we think so, but we don't speak German or French. They're one of those bands that you're not sure if you could listen to them all day, but are curious enough to go check out. Toxic super-mutant, rockabilly punkers Good Sam's Band from Moss Landing open. [MF]
8pm. Jose's Lounge Underground , 638 Wave St., Monterey. $5. 655-4419.
