In 2008, Philadelphia singer/songwriter Kurt Vile released Constant Hitmaker, which sounded like a batch of FM radio rock hits beamed in from another galaxy. The up-and-coming musician just put out his Matador Records debut Childish Prodigy this month. Tonight, he will be joined by Sam Flax & Higher Color, Sparrow's Gate, Birds Fled From Me and Persephone's Bees, the Monterey born alt rock act featuring the great Tom Ayres on guitar. (See story.)
