The Pacific Grove Art Center launches an imagery-laden September that celebrates six homegrown exhibitions by local artists and ends Oct. 15. The center will be home to work by its Art Camp students, as well “Rock Studies,” a watercolor exhibition by studio artist Julie Heilman. The Elmarie Dyke Gallery houses Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association’s “Our Home Town,” an exhibition of 40 plein-air paintings of PG homes and buildings. Local photographer Gregory Pimentel captures the wonders that skirt Monterey County in his marine-themed “Bay Views” exhibition in the photo gallery. The Louise Cardeiro Boyer Gallery houses “Recent Works: Land/Sea/Sky And Floral Paintings by Dante Rondo,” as well as the more abstract “Compatible Extremes” by Peter F. Collins. Shows run through Oct. 15. [MC]
