The Salinas United Business Association is having a party to commemorate the true Mexican independence day at the 25th annual "El Grito" celebration in the Alisal district of Salinas. Check out the mile long parade on Saturday. Sunday brings live entertainment on three stages, with music from local Mexican bands Banda Cenderos and Grupo Desesperado, as well as local schools and talents at the International Street Fair. Sample tacos and other yummy south-of-the-border treats at more than 100 booths along the seven-block stretch of the business district, along with more than 40,000 other locals from the area. [MC]
