Count on the Monterey Museum of Art to turn art history into something genuinely fun. Through October, they're putting on a game in which participants are challenged to identify the locations of eight historic paintings and a photograph currently on display at MMA-Pacific. Entry forms can be obtained at montereyart.org, at the Pacific and La Mirada museums, or in ads in various papers (including the Weekly). MMA-Pacific holds clues to solving the riddles. No purchase necessary; one entry per person; turn in completed entries at the museums or by fax. Each month they conduct blind drawings of correct entries for a chance to win a stay at Hotel Pacific, Monterey Bay Inn, Spindrift Inn, Victorian Inn, or the new Hotel Abrego. It ends Oct. 25, which is the last day of the vaunted Made in Monterey exhibit. [WR]
