Former Big Sur residents and parents to four children Gloria and Jesus "Chuy" Araiza, commuting to their current Seaside home on June 7, got in a car accident, sustaining severe injuries of which Gloria is still recovering. This Mexican Night fundraiser helps pay for medical bills and displays the care and loyalty that Big Sur living engenders in people. It's also a pretty kick-ass party, fueled by Mexican food, drink and cultural cues like live music, a DJ, and children's ballet folklorico and salon dance. A raffle and silent auction for Big Sur prizes. No reservation needed; just come on by. [WR]
