“Fruit of Paradise” will feature experimental and psychedelic films by women, the West Coast premiere of The Entrance Band’s new video and live music by DJ Carlos Nino and Warpaint, a favorite of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The eclectic array of filmmakers represented will include musician Melissa Auf Der Maur (Hole, Smashing Pumpkins), Maximilla Lukacs, Sarah Sophie Flicker and renowned Czech filmmaker and pioneer of the Czech New Wave, Vera Chytilova; her films were considered to be so edgy/groundbreaking that the Czechoslovakian government banned them in the 1960s.
