If all the world's a stage, then this weekend, all of Monterey County is an art gallery. It's the 20-year go-round for the sprawling and intimate Monterey County Artist Studio Tour, meaning all are invited into the chambers of creative craft where 80-plus sculptors, painters, photographers, potters and others create the works that keep the county filled with artistry--from Salinas to Pebble Beach to Big Sur. That's a lotta art. Make sense of it all with a preview show Friday, 7-9pm, at Pacific Grove Art Center, hosted by Artist Equity, with many participating artists attending. Plot out the dizzying array of studios to visit, made more palatable with refreshments, music, and twists and turns along the way. See the Weekly and various locations for maps, which put you closer to the works of art and their creators. Then you're on your own. Which, this weekend, is a good thing. [WR]
