Prominent writers and editors from the scathing political satirist P.J. O'Rourke to Elizabeth Gilbert, author of the best-selling Eat, Pray, Love, Pulitzer Prize-winning Stanford history professor David Kennedy, Miami misanthrope Carl (Striptease) Hiassen, Los Angeles Times Book Review editor David Ulin, travel journalikst Don George, San Francisco mystery writer Cara Black and Trip Adler, CEO and Co-Founder of the social company Scribd and Frances Dinkenspiel, author of Towers of Gold: How One Jewish Immigrant Named Isaias Hellman Created California Man eil, author of will be among those in attendance, The third annual version of this event, organized by Jim McGillen, is sold out, as usual, but McGillen says they always seek ways to let literary seekers in for at least part of the proceedings and requests will be honored in the order in which they are received.
